The Civil Society Studies Application and Research Center (CIVIL), operating under Ibn Haldun University, was established to conduct both academic and practical studies in various areas of civil society, with a particular focus on associations, foundations, and volunteer-based organizations.
Our Center aims to develop projects in collaboration with student communities and academics, support social responsibility initiatives, and promote a culture of volunteerism within the university environment. Contributing to undergraduate and graduate-level academic studies and enhancing the knowledge and legal awareness of professionals working in the field of civil society are among our core objectives.
CIVIL adopts an interdisciplinary approach to examine the legal, sociological, and institutional dimensions of civil society. It seeks to contribute to the development of civil society in Türkiye through comparative local and global research. To this end, the Center organizes various training programs, panels, workshops, and publishing activities.
